Why am I doing this?
I wanted to get in shape for a while now and loose those few extra pounds (again only a few!), so decided to go for it!
 
I started my training in Jan and based on a 14 weeks training schedule, my weekend mornings have now been focused on clocking up miles, whatever the weather, rather than recovering from late night partying...
 
Who for?
I'm raising money for an extremely worthy cause, the NSPCC.  Their fundamental aim is to create a society where all children are loved, valued and able to fulfil their potential.  The charity works directly with children who have lived their lives in the presence of abuse or cruelty, as well as at a higher level influencing legislation and public behaviour to stop these horrible crimes at their source.
 
Did you know that 6% of children experience frequent and severe emotional maltreatment during childhood?  A donation of £10 could pay for an NSPCC Helpline counsellor to take a call from a distressed child and give them vital help to make their abuse stop.  A donation of £100 could pay for a month's treatment for a child traumatised by abuse.
 
With your help, I hope to achieve a fundraising goal of £1,800.  I would be extremely grateful however large or small a donation you are able to give. It will go a long way in motivating me as well as supporting many children's lives.
