.... actually the superb
Da Vinci surgical robotic system.
Anyway Flicky and Howard
HAVE cycled (or walked) very slowly from Land's End to John O'Groats
covering 1369 miles through terrific scenery (our route - not the official one)
seeing 128 bird species
consuming 29 tea cakes
drinking 109 cans/pints of beer/ cider
all to raise money for the robot.
It took 9 weeks and 2 days and it was a real adventure: we met lots of good people; we got very hot, very cold, extremely wet. Our major investment in mosquito nets, insect repellent, and post-bite medication was largely wasted - the midges and clegs must have decided it was too windy, because we hardly saw any!
Anyway it's your turn now! If you have not done so already, please dig deep for a worthy cause. Feel free to sponsor us for anything - £1 per teacake or drink would be good!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: St. Luke's Cancer Fund Royal Surrey County Hospital gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
