Being the 'stealth like' sportsmen we are it seemed only natural to choose something that might pose a little of a challenge to help raise money for such a worthwhile cause ......Two people close to us sadly passed away last year after a long fight against cancer. Both Keith Jessop and Janice Archer asked if anyone wanted to make donations that it should be to Cancer Research.
We wanted to do something a 'little bit more challenging' to help raise money for such a fantastic charity. Not one wanting to do anything by halves the Grim 8 seemed perfect - an 8 mile run through mud and water in the middle of winter!
Having watched Andy's wife Claire (see pic) nearly freeze her fingers off, wade through water up to her waist, and crawl through mud under cargo nets over a Army tank range for the last couple of years should have put us off! No, the challenge was there, and with some gentle persuasion 'THE TEAM' was formed and now its time to face the reality
!
If you want to see how mad we are, and what we've signed ourselves up for check out
http://www.grimchallenge.co.uk/ There are still some places available if you want to sign up and join us?!
Please help us make this challenge as rewarding as possible and convince us that those training runs REALLY ARE worthwhile!
....... so please dig deep and sponsor online, and hopefully we'll hit our target of £2000.
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Many thanks for your support.
