Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I've been running for just over two years and have done half a dozen 10k races a couple of half marathons and a 10 miler. I've been wanting to doing something to help raise some money for St Catherine's Hospice for a while. I've come to know first hand the work that they do through two friends spending their final days there. 

I came back from a trip to Zambia in Sept 2014 related to my own mothers lost battle with cancer and saw that St Catherine's needed people to run the Brighton marathon. I felt now was not only the time to commit to run my first marathon, but to get off my arse and raise some of the much needed cash that St Catherine's need each year to continue giving the excellent care that they do. 

So this is where you come in my friends. Here's some small print:

We’re there for people in Sussex and East Surrey, with expert hospice care, when and where they need us most. Our care is only possible thanks to the generosity of our local community who donate to and volunteer with us. Community support means we’re there when life comes full circle.
