I will be taking part in this years London Olympic Triathlon in August. I have never undertaken such a gruelling event before and dont really know just what to expect. Im sure it wont be easy.

The Olympic Triathlon consists of three consecutive events, the first is a 1.5Km swim in London's Victoria Dock, followed by a 40Km bicycle sprint then a 10Km run. The time I have set to complete the whole event is 3 hours. Running is my poorest event and would have preferred it to be the first event. 

As with many people my family have been affected by heart problems, be it from heart attacks or strokes or heart bypasses and therefore this is why i am supporting the British Heart Foundation in this way.
