Story
Hi Everyone!
As many of you know a man close to our hearts Jim Thompson passed away after losing his battle with cancer in 2008.
For all those who were not privileged to have known Big Jim he was a major influence on so many people’s lives especially in the football fraternity.
I met Jim during my time at University and his influence and guidance was irreplaceable to everybody who knew him and is sorely missed.
He will always bring a smile to my face when I remember my time in Brighton and with the university team.
St Peter and St James Hospice supported Jim and his family through such a difficult time and Jim wanted to repay them by setting up a fund in his name to which whatever we raise together, will be added.
I am running in the Reading half marathon on Sunday 29th March as a warm up to the main event the Flora London Marathon on 26th April 2009 - 39 Miles give or take, coupled with various triathlons I hope to gain entry to this summer!
The team at St Peter and St James Hospice worked tirelessly for Jim and his family and need £3,600 a day to continue their amazing work, so please give generously….
