Story
Hello friends, family, associates and random strangers…
Ok… so it is no Marathon, but believe me – the thought of running 5km at the moment makes me feel sick.
I promise that I’ll train and complete this in a decent time.
The main reason I’m asking for sponsorship is to raise heaps of money for Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths. As some of you know, I lost my lovely sister Emily Louise to cot death when I was 4yrs old and this charity has been one that my family have supported ever since. It would have been Emily’s 21st birthday this year (5th October) so quite a poignant year and this 5km race is pretty much a month off her birthday (which I share) on Sunday 7th September 2008.
The Foundation for the Study of Infant Deaths is the UK’s leading baby charity aiming to prevent unexpected deaths in infancy and promote infant health. FSID fulfils these aims by:
- Funding research
- Supporting families whose babies have died suddenly and unexpectedly
- Disseminating information on infant health, baby care and sudden infant deaths to health professionals and the general public
- Working with professionals to improve investigations when a baby dies
I thought I’d start the fundraising early so please… give generously.
