In memory of Bob Lane

Story

Over Christmas we had the sad news that one of the people we support at Pound Farm has passed away after being unwell in hospital for many weeks. Bob Lane was well known by so many people at Salter’s Hill and locally in Newent as he has been supported by the charity since 1988. Many of us have fond memories of Bob, his charismatic character and humour and he will be missed greatly.

In celebration of Bob, on Tuesday the 12th of January 2016, there will be service of thanksgiving at 2.00pm at St. Mary’s church in Newent and a gathering of friends and family afterwards at Glebe Chapel in Newent.

Bob’s wishes were that everyone should wear black and his family has requested people should not give flowers (there will be family flowers only) but would like donations made in Bob’s memory to Pound Farm.

We do hope that those who knew Bob will be able to join us at the service and also the party afterwards. Please contact Pound Farm for more information: 01989 720546.
