We are raising money this year for the following charities:
ING Chances for Children www.ingchancesforchildren.com
ING Chances for Children is an ING Group corporate program that aims with the help of UNICEF to give 50,000 children access to education before the end of 2007; as well as improving the quality of education in the local communities in which ING businesses are active.
The Myotubular Trust www.myotubulartrust.com
Myotubular Myopathy is a rare muscle condition which affects mostly boys at birth, and sometimes an even rarer form develops later in life affecting both boys and girls. It causes profound muscle weakness. Most critically it affects the muscles that control breathing and swallowing and is a constant threat to life - a simple cold could prove fatal. Sadly many do not survive their first year of life.
The Proteus Syndrome Foundation www.proteus-syndrome.org.uk
The Proteus Syndrome Foundation has been founded to support and educate familes and professionals, and to raise money for research to find a cure for individuals living with Proteus Syndrome.
Lupus www.lupus.org.uk
Lupus is now recognised as an important and common illness of modern times. It is a disease in which the immune system goes ‘wrong’, becomes overactive. It can affect any organ of the body. Because the symptoms can be so diverse, including for example; fatigue, rashes, allergies, depression and kidney failure it is called the ‘great mimic’.
The St Francis Hospice www.stfrancishospice.co.uk
Saint Francis Hospice cares 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. As a charity, it relies on financial help and support from the community to give specialist care and services, free of charge, to patients, their families and carers. The aim is to alleviate suffering which may be physical, emotional, social and spiritual, in order to give patients the best quality of life possible, however long that life may be.
Donating
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: the chosen charities will receive your money faster and, if you are a taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!
Many thanks for your support.
