Story
Thanks for visiting.
I am running the London Marathon on 26 April this year to raise awareness and money for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust. CF is a life-threatening disease caused by a single faulty gene that is carried by 1 in 25 people. My first encounter with it was last year when my cousin Chris and his wife Suzie discovered within days of her birth that their daughter Amelie had CF. This is not going to affect the love she will get from her parents, grandparents and friends but it does mean she will need daily treatment. There is presently no cure.
You can read more about the work Cystic Fibrosis Trust do to research a cure and to support clinical care for people with CF by following the link on the left below. If you are able to sponsor me all monies will go direct to CFT and any amount no matter how small will make a real difference to the valuable work they do.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cystic Fibrosis Trust gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
