FOR ARMY BENEVOLENT FUND
We are busy organising fundraising activities again this year in memory of Jamie Hancock, who died on active service in on 6th November 2006, aged 19; and all the other service men and women who lost their lives in Iraq and Afghanistan. All proceeds raised will go to support our troops via the Army Benevolent Fund (The Soldiers Charity).
Last year we raised nearly £9.000 and are hoping to exceed this figure this year
Events planned for this year, with the support of friends and the local cadets, are:
· A tandem parachute Jump, my son Sergeant Joe Hancock (Duke of Lancaster's Regiment) is organising this activity along with a group of friends
· Local pub collection 24th July
If you would like to show your support for our troops please sponsor us. .
The funds raised from this event will be used to support the Army Benevolent Fund (reg. charity 211645). The fund helps to support our troops many of whom are returning from and suffering from physical or psychological injuries. For some of these service men and women it may signify the end of a much loved Army career. We really hope you will help us raise some funds in any way you can to help this excellent cause and support all those soldiers who have given so much.
