Story
Hello!
Thank you so much for checking out my site.
As you may be aware, after losing my wonderful Dad, Tony Williams, in September 2004, I have been a great supporter of St.Elizabeth Hospice and the excellent care it provides.
On March 29th, i travelled to Beijing to start my charity trek along the Great Wall of China. This was the most physically challenging thing i have ever done! Trekking for up to seven hours a day along original wall was incredibly tough but incredibly rewarding. Fellow trekkers offered support when needed and the moral was always high.
Our last day saw us climb 1,400 steps up onto the wall, before our trek to Watch Tower 19. Our final ascent was the 'Stairway to Heaven' over 400 steps on a 70% incline. Wearing our chosen charity's T-shirts, emotions ran high and tears flowed as we remembered our loved ones and the reason why we were all there. This was an amazing end to our charity challenge, and something that will live in my heart forever.
My sincere thanks go to my wonderful family, friends and work colleagues for the support given to me and of course for your amazing generosity.
A special thanks to my training partners, Ruth, Jane and Adele....i couldn't have done it without you!
With love and many thanks to you all,
Jane xxx
