Story
update:
I thought you might like to know that I completed the Blackpool Marathon in 3hrs 46mins 26secs. I can't say it was easy, but apart from a few nasty blisters and aching legs I finished in one piece.
I would like to thank you all for your support, particularly my long suffering fiancé who has lived with a "grumpy pain the ar5e" for the last few months due to the aches, pains and injuries I have picked up during training.
If anyone fancies doing a marathon give me a call - I will try and talk some sense into you. But hey if it’s for a good cause I might join you if you can get Nicky to agree to let me do it!

I have stupidly decided to do the Blackpool Marathon on the 5th April 2009. With this mind I am collecting sponsorship in aid of Christie http://www.christie.nhs.uk/ the cancer hospital in Manchester.

Although I cannot promise on what time I will complete the 26 miles & 385 yards in, or whether I will actually get to the finish line in one piece!! I will do my best.
My running so far (2nd Feb) has reached upto 12 miles but I am told that the last 14 and a bit miles are the easiest - plus I still have almost 8 weeks to get fit.
