"Not built for running" they said. And they were right.  But i'm doing it anyway.  And so it is that on July 6th a chubby man with shin splints will be slogging 10,000m through the streets of London in the name of a very good cause.

Please endorse my masochism and inevitable humiliation by giving generously to Over The Wall, an organisation which runs holiday camps for young people affected by serious illnesses (please read the box to the left of this page).  These camps offer kids in very hard circumstances the chance to have fun and just be kids, an experience which most take for granted but which can mean the world.

I will be working as a volenteer on one of these camps in July and so will be able to see the effect that donations make.  Quite simply, these camps are in massively high demand, and more volenteers and income mean more kids can be catered for.  Many thanks for your help, and if I survive this i'll see you for that half marathon next year...
