Story

Hello! Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

16/5/10 RACE DAY!   Thank you to everyone who sponsored me.  Well the big day came and it was freezing but at least it didn't rain.  My brothers ran in the faster group and I was left to the 'pink' group...the last group :)  Unfortunately Martin couldn't run which was a shame but he came along to cheer us along.  Spurred on my Blackpool FC's current winning form I dug deep and pushed myself and managed a personal best of just under an hour.   This was a short lived celebration when I discovered three of my speedy brothers all came in around 45 mins, two of them had hangovers!  Thank you again for your dosh and best wishes xxxxx.

11/4/10 Blackpool Half Marathon completed! The weather was beautiful, the sea was a mill pond and my brother and I helped each other keep an even pace coming in at 2 hours 19 minutes, faster than expected. Other family members came in between 1 hour 50 and 1 hour 55! Amazing stuff and a real achievement.  Slight trouble walking afterwards!!!!

4/04/10 Happy Easter!  This week I did my long run on Friday so I could relax and enjoy the weekend and boy did I pay for it.  The heavens opened and my two and a half hour run was a constant torrent of water.  My running kit was producing suds it was so wet.  So I am definately ready for Blackpool Promonade next week!

28/3/10 Ran 11.5 miles today, two weeks till the Blackpool half marathon are motivating me.  Also had a work out yesterday thanks to Rebecca my two year old being too shy to go to her tap and ballet class alone....I have to admit I rather enjoyed it...nice toes naught toes nice toes naughty toes.

21/3/10 Ran 10 miles today, I would say with the Horsham joggers but they were long gone after 3 miles! A slow shuffle is more my style.

18/3/10 Training is going well, already doing 10K in 1hr 10 mins so the next goal is under 1hr.  Have signed up for Blackpools half marathon on 11th April not normally used for training for a 10K :) Should also say that I am running as part of my brothers 'Team' so far there is about 5 of us.

22/2/10 Ran three times this week in The Lakes with my brothers, when I say 'with' I mean far behind :) Still jiggling x.

13/2/10 Just call me Skycat, all the siblings and some cousins did a skydive today, was totally rad.  Just what we all needed.

Roll up any amount accepted for me to plod as fast as I can around the Great Manchester 10k course on the 16th May.    Don't expect breathtaking althletics unless we are talking about my ability to breath during any form of exercise.  I shall be some distance behind my cancer stricken brother who will no doubt be able to complete the course in less than 50 minutes or something ridiculously sporty like that.  I shall attempt to get in under 1 hour and ten minutes and will expect huge amounts of carbs and tlc to get over the shock.  Thank you for your donations it's very kind of you and I really appreciate it.  Love Jiggles xxxx
