Story
CHALLENGE RE-SCHEDULED TO 5th June 2010.
THE REASON
Thanks for taking time to visit my page. This is a really important project for me and the team, so anything you can give is really appreciated. Over the last half year, I have lost two close relatives to cancer. In their loving memory, I hope to raise at least £1000 to help others battling the disease and who take on a challenge like ours as part of their daily struggle!
I will keep you updated on this web page.
THE CHALLENGE
To climb the tallest mountain in Scotland, the tallest mountain in England and the tallest mountain in Wales... all in under 24 hours!
Therefore in just 24 hours, the team and I will have to undertake the following:
*Climb Ben Nevis, the tallest mountain in Scotland at 1290 metres, and scramble our way down- within 5 hours, before setting off to our next destination, the clock still ticking. Then...
*Climb Scafell Pike, the tallest mountain in England at 885 metres, in the dark, in roughly 3hrs and 50 minutes, before setting off to Wales, where we will...
*Climb Snowdon, the tallest mountain in Wales with a 730 metre ascent, in just under 4 hrs 15 minutes.
We are going to undertake this mission on the 2nd May 2010 and finish hopefully before the same time on the 3rd.
