Between 23rd and the 29th May this year i will be entering a 350 mile cycle ride in order to raise money for Help for Heroes. Linking the ride with the Allies' liberation of France in 1945, we will be riding from Cherbourg, along the Normandy invasion beaches to Pegasus Bridge before turning south west to Villers Bocage, then to Falais and on to Paris.

What is Help for Heroes?? HforH is all about raising money for injured servicemen and women returning from the conflicts in Iraq and Afganistan. Unashamedly taken form their website, 'Its about blokes, our men and women in the armed forces. Its about Derek, a rugby player who lost both legs, its about Carl whos jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It's about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodby to his wife. They are just blokes, but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. Apologies about the rubbish photo - lunchtime in the works car park, and proof to the doubters that I can actually ride a bicycle! The suit won't be joining me in France though.....
