Story
As most of you who know me are aware, when it comes to physical anatomy, I'm no Kate Moss! What kind of shape am I in?.....round!!
Having very recently tipped the scales at nearly 17 stone, I decided something had to be done about my weight............
Hit the local gym I thought, however the idea of pounding a treadmill with the other members of the undead, planning their next email, fills me with dread.
Therefore I'm attempting the Great North Run, and furthermore trying to raise charity for The Butterwick Hospice in the process, so it's not just to help my waistline!!
The Butterwick Children's Hospice provides care and support free of charge to children with life limiting illnesses from birth to 18 years of age and also supports their families. Based in my hometown of Teesside it's a really worthy cause so don't be tight with those donations!!!
Admittedly, the training's been up & down but I'll be sure to post some pictures of my suffering once I've completed the run. If nothing else, watching a fat bloke trying to complete a half marathon should provide a chuckle.
Cheers
Jim
