My brother and I will be taking on the 3 Peak challenge in aid of Glasgow Women's Aid. We will summit all 3 peaks in 30 hours, our journey will start 3rd September where we will summit Ben Nevis and Scafell Pike in the same day then onto Snowden 4th September at 6am for our final summit!

We are both very excited to take on this challenge but are under no illusion that this is going to be MASSIVE challenge physically and mentally!   Women's Aid is a charity close to our hearts but this isn't the sole reason why we want to raise money for this vital service. 1 n 4 women will experience abuse at some point in their life, living with abuse has a devastating affect on the life's of women and  children.  Money raised from this event will help provide the following for the charity: 

• £5 could help purchase materials for a child to take part in a children‘s group activity like baking or an arts and crafts project to gain confidence and encourage involvement with others.
• £10 could help provide an emergency pack for a woman fleeing domestic abuse. In the majority of cases, women turn up at GWA with only the clothes on her back. This could help to provide essential items such as toiletries, nappies and food.
• £20 could allow for a woman to take part in an activity with other women in refuge like yoga or stress management to help build self esteem and health and well-being.
• £50 could help cover costs for a child to have a session with a Play Therapist. This includes travel, subsistence, materials and equipment.
