I have decided to try and raise as much money as possible for the Eden Valley Hospice in Carlisle, as over the past couple of years they have helped close friends and family members with various personal issues and it would be nice to give them something back for all the support and time they have given.
The Eden Valley Hospice will have at some point in your life helped someone you know or will in the future!
It was with this in mind that I decided I would do a different challenge every month for six month starting in May and finishing in October. Below is a brief listing of what my challenges involve:
May - Keswick Half Marathon 13.1 Miles - completed on 03.05.10 - 1hr 48min
June - 3 Peaks Challenge - 24 hours including travel to climb Scotlands (Ben Nevis) Englands (Scafell Pike) and Wales's (Snowdonia) highest mountains. - completed 06.06.10 22hrs 28min
July - Hadrians Wall Walk 84 Miles from Wallsends to Bowness on Solway - completed 29.07.10 - 01.08.10 ( 3 1/2 days)
