We provide a helpline, and webchat service to help prevent suicide in the UK

Story

Campaign against Living Miserably (CALM) is one of the charities supported by ‘PwC BRS in the Community’. CALM is a project dedicated to the preservation, protection and improvement of mental health and well-being amongst young persons in the UK by offering support services, counselling, advice and/or information about depression and/or crisis management.

The charity specifically targets young men aged between 15-35, with the overriding objective of reducing male suicide in the UK by providing a support network in the form of a website/bog and a helpline. The reason that young males are specifically targeted in this effort is that suicide is an ever increasing killer amongst men in this age bracket; recent records show that there are 6 times more male suicides than female (almost 1,000 each year)

See http://www.thecalmzone.net/ for more information.

Please give generously, this is a GREAT cause!!

The amazing and ruggedly handsome hair on my upper lip for the next 30 days should be a continuous reminder to support this worthy cause…

Joe
