Story

Thank you for taking time to read our Justgiving page.  The Joggernauts will be running the Brighton Marathon on Sunday 14th April 2019 in aid of the Kent MS Therapy Centre based in Canterbury, Kent. The Joggernauts consist of 6 work colleagues, Dave Hanslow, Naomi Guckenheim, Arnas Vencius, Rich Amos, Bobby Holloway and Michael Kiernan who have decided to train at short notice for this fantastic local community focused charity within Kent. None of the members have run a marathon before with the vast majority having only ever run as far as 10km, so this provides a huge challenge for the Joggernauts to take on.

Multiple sclerosis (MS) is a condition which can affect the brain and/or spinal cord, causing a wide range of potential symptoms, including problems with vision, arm or leg movement, sensation or balance.

It's a lifelong condition that can sometimes cause serious disability, although it can occasionally be mild. In many cases, it’s possible to treat symptoms. Average life expectancy is slightly reduced for people with MS.

MS doesn’t discriminate and can develop in any person from any age, although it is more common for people in their 20’s and 30’s and there is NO CURE.

Kent MS Therapy centre provides a number of therapies that can help reduce some of the debilitating symptoms of MS, improving quality of life and enabling people to manage on a day to day basis. KMSTC provides all the necessary equipment as well as a team of qualified staff to administer and supervise as necessary. The centre provides some vital therapies that include Physiotherapy, Oxygen Therapy, Manual Lymph Drainage, Counselling, Podiatry are just a few of the therapies they provide. Most importantly they provide a social hub that allows those suffering with MS and their families to meet other families, share experiences, problems and ideas but also to relax and have fun in what can be a testing time for families.

So please support not only the Joggernauts but most
importantly your local community and the Kent MS Therapy Centre.

Kent MS Therapy Centre is Registered Charity No: 801382
