We provide vital care to patients with life-limiting illnesses.

Story

Thanks for pledging whatever you can.

All money raised goes to the St Catherine's Hospice in my local town, Caterham. The hospice provides specialised end of life care to help support patients, their friends, families and carers. They do a tremendous job, and it really is a worthwhile cause.

In order to raise the money, my aim is to run the Marathon des Sables in April of this year. This involves 6 marathons in 6 days, lugging all your gear, water and dried porridge with sultanas - yum. This takes place in the Sahara Desert, in Morocco. Sort of like your worst beach holiday ever. I don't even like sand. Or snakes.

It is also in memory of my good friend, Simon Grimsell, who also wanted to do this, but sadly now never will - we miss him dearly.

Thank you again - every penny is received with heartfelt thanks.

John
