I've been fund-raising for different charities for several years by running marathons however, this is going to be different. Running 10 marathons on 10 consecutive days will be my biggest challenge yet and will take me well outside my comfort zone. Having done the Windermere marathon 3 times before I know just how demanding the course is. My motivation to do this is to raise funds to enable the Brathay trust to continue the valuable work they do for disadvantaged and vulnerable young people. Most people(actually ALL !) I've told what I'm about to do have said "You must be mad." Well, Yes. If it was just to say I did it, but to know that other people will be helped as a result makes all the difference.
