Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.

It has been a while since I undertook any fundraising activities, but there were two very compelling reasons for me agreeing to take part in the 3 Peaks Challenge.  Firstly the charity is raising money for a dedicated MRI scanner to help ensure that the neonatal unit at Nottingham’s Queens Medical Centre continues to provide fantastic care for premature babies, and give them the best possible start in life.  Secondly, if I raise sufficient sponsorship then our team leader Richard will complete the final leg dressed as a teletubby.

So on June 21st this year, myself and seven others shall be taking part in the 3 Peaks Challenge - a gentle stroll up the 3 highest peaks in the UK (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon).  We’ll see if all those visits to the gym after work have prepared me for a gruelling challenge that will be completed regardless of the weather.

It’s a very serious cause but we are intending to enjoy ourselves on what is certain to be a very memorable weekend.  All those taking part have also agreed to fund the entire expedition themselves, so that as much sponsorship as possible goes to the charity.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Neonatal MRI Scanner will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.  Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Many thanks for your support,

John.
