Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
The Serious Bit
I am running the London Marathon this year to raise funds for The Prostate Cancer Charity, in memory of my father who, as some of you know, died last year of this disease. He was only 66 years old.
The Daft Bit
In addition, in a moment of madness, I also entered the Lake District Marathon on 17 May, to see how I cope with 2 marathons in 3 weeks.
I want to complete the London marathon within 3 hours 30 minutes. No promises on the time for the Lake District event.
The Funds Target
Please help me to achieve my target of £2,000 of monies for the Prostate Cancer Charity which is fighting this cancer on every front. One man dies every hour of prostate cancer. This doesn't just affect old folk, it can catch people like you and me.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Prostate Cancer Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now! All amounts no matter how small help towards the target. You can even link the amount to the time achieved!!
Last year you helped raise more than £2,600 for the Spinal Injuries Association. All of your support helps to offset those dark nights of training!
Many thanks for getting this far.
John
