Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
The Great Eastern will be my first Half Marathon and the furthest i've ever run.
I had originally intended to do last years race to raise money in support of Alex Mcguinness, the nephew of a good friend of mine who had been diagnosed with leukaemia. I picked up an injury that meant I wasn't able to take part. In February Alex tragically lost his battle against leukaemia at the age of just 18. The link below is to an article that pays tribute to Alex and the inspiration he was to those around him.
This year I would like to honour the pledge I made last year as best I can and support a charity that supported Alex - The East Anglian Childern's Hospice (EACH - http://www.each.org.uk/). This is a charity committed to caring for children with life threatening illness and supporting their families.
Now the part where I beg for your support! My job is to train as hard as I can and do the absolute best I can. Your job is to stump up the readies :)
This is a truly deserving charity for any amount you may wish to sponsor me.
Thank you!!
