My decision to run the New York Marathon on November 1st this year was inspired by friends and family asking how I was going to celebrate my 50th Birthday.  We all face challenges in life - some are very much harder than others.  I chose, a while ago, to support, on a regular basis, some dear friends in Zimbabwe whose everyday challenges are extraordinary.  They give enormous practical help and support to many orphans and families by way of distributing food and clothing and providing an orphanage for young people.  My forthcoming challenge of running the Marathon is, in comparison, very ordinary.  However,  every step will be worthwhile knowing it is, in some small way, helping my chosen charity, New Growth Ministries.  I thank you for your kind support.
