Story

Well as most of you will know, running another race is no big deal for me!  So bearing this in mind, I figured I wouldn't get away with a flat, easy marathon.  So with a little deliberation and some encouragement from an equally barmy friend I chose Snowdonia Marathon...yes yes...I know...its a mountain...but Julie's not thinking about that right now!!!

So to cut a long story short and being fully aware that I will be incapacitated for some time after the event I thought I could use it as an excuse to do something productive and give me that incentive to make it up those gruelling hills  - for those of you who are interested the profile can be found here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/9786714@N05/1800159190/ But I'm chosing not to look at that....

Anyway, I have chose Naomi House because I know that when I feel like I just want to die at mile 20, the thought of raising valuable funds for this fantastic charity will keep me going.  I challenge anyone of you to read this story without crying! http://www.naomihouse.org.uk/what/hospice_respite_care/marnies_story.aspx

Oh, and just in case you're wondering, I am funding the event myself and all sponsorship raised will go directly to the charity :)

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
