I'm certainly not the racing chicken I once was in another life, I'm hovering just under the 15 stone mark just recovered from knee surgery so am hoping with a bit of effort and a bit of weight loss I can get around the course and raise some money for a great cause helping children with disablities get involved in sport. Their mission statement is:

Get Kids Going! is a National charity which gives disabled children and young people - up to the age of 26 yrs - the wonderful opportunity of participating in sport.

We help promote sports for disabled children by providing them with specially built sports’ wheelchairs so they can do marathons, triathlons, tennis, athletics, mountain skiing, rugby, basketball etc. Get Kids Going! also helps and encourages British disabled children to compete by supporting them with their sports; training, physiotherapy, travel, design and development of sports’ wheelchairs. With your help many could become record holders and Paralympic champions!
