So after careful consideration/ Nina’s phone call/ loving my half marathon and my personal trainer (posh I know!) telling me my running was like ‘Poetry in Motion’   I have decided to run the London Marathon 2009! 

I am doing it for my beloved charity Sparks (probably most of you would have heard one of my drunken rants or been asked about your charity of the year when I have been out with you) who fund vital medical research into ALL conditions affecting babies and children.  I know there are loads of worthy charities but the day I walked through Great Ormond Street Intensive Care Unit and saw the tiny premature babies made me realise how great ours really is (and you know what a cynic I am normally!)  Ok enough serious stuff!

So either donate because you care about the cause, because you love me or just so you can see me give up drinking and drag myself round 26.2 miles…..yes I said 26.2 miles (that seems like a long way even to drive!)
