Update - 29/04/09

So, I made it!!! I completed the marathon in a time of 6 hours 35 mins 53 seconds which bearing in mind the heat and water supply problems I'm really pleased with. I had the most amazing day, loved every single minute and and am so thrilled with all the support I've had. Thank you all for making my amazing day possible through your sponsorship and encouragement - I'd contemplate doing it again.......!!!

The aim of Zurich's Community Trust and the charities it partners with is simple - 'to make a positive and lasting difference to the lives of the disadvantaged and excluded in our society and help them lead a more independent life'.

The six charity partners at the moment are Marie Curie, Childline, Hope and Homes for Children,  The Calvert Trust, The Foundation for Conductive Education and Canine Partners for the Disabled. All of these are such worthy causes and even the smallest amount of money can help them to make such an impact on people's lives.

It's all about making a difference - and with your help, I can! (Admittedly not without some effort in the process ;o) )

So please dig deep, and help me get round the course - I can promise you that come hell or high water I will be getting round, whether it takes me six hours or six days!
