We provide care and support to those affected by life-limiting illness

Story

On 22nd August 2010 I am walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks to raise money in memory of my Uncle, Frank Dossor, who sadly lost his battle with bowel cancer in May this year.

Walking was his passion, from walking with a group every Thursday to trekking Everest.  What better tribute than to walk the Yorkshire 3 Peaks in his memory, whilst raising money for the hospice which was due to support him.  Thank you to all the hardworking, selfless staff who work at Blythe House.

The Yorkshire 3 Peaks will be no easy task.  It entails walking to the summits of (694 metres - 2,276 feet), Whernside (736 metres - 2,415 feet) and Ingleborough (723 metres  2,372 feet) all in one circular route, and must be completed within 12 hours.  The walk is 24.5 miles (39.2km) long and takes in over 5,000 feet (1,600 metres) of climbing.  I am currently in training, and have already climbed Pen-y-ghent and Whernside - I think more training is needed though!
