I have been persuaded by my husband to attempt a marathon before I am 40  ;-)   and so we're running the Halstead and Essex marathon on Sunday 9th May http://halsteadroadrunners.net/index.php?page=raceinfo. Although my own motivation for running is pretty strong, I feel this is a particularly big challenge and I have realised that the knowledge that I am raising money for an exceptionally good cause will certainly help to get me through the tough moments I'll have to deal with as we make our way through those miles.....

I have chosen Christian Aid as my charity since 9 -15 May is Christian Aid week which is seven amazing days of fundraising, action and prayer. It's a time when communities all over the country get together to raise funds to make real and lasting changes in the lives of some of the world’s poorest people.
