Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page. This year I'm taking on my biggest challenge yet - a triathlon! My first ever attempt so I'm starting at "easy" level - if there is such a thing. It will involve a 400m swim in the Albert Dock (where visibility is about 3cm!), a 2.5k run and a 5k bike ride through the streets of east London. Having not got on a bike since I was about 12, this is certainly going to be a trying tri! Just finishing it will be enough for me.
I will be trying to raise as much as possible for Mind. You've all heard the statistics that 1 in 4 people will suffer with mental ill-health of some severity or another. Statistics also say that 250,000 people are admitted to psychiatric hospitals each year - these are just the ones that make it through the system. Mind is seriously under-funded and can offer vital assistance to those who may fall outside of the scope of NHS care but who can't afford private healthcare.
So please be as generous as you possibly can and sponsor me by using the button above. Thank you all so very much. x
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mind - The Mental Health Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
