My wonderful sister Miranda is currently undergoing treatment for Pancreatic Cancer - she was first diagnosed over 6 years ago and was fortunate enough to be able to have the Whipple's procedure to remove her tumour, but just before Christmas, was told that the cancer had in fact spread to her lungs and stomach.

In an attempt to cheer Miranda and family up, I started decorating their house in Christmassy coloured pom-poms - since then have continued onto a "Spring Collection"!

To channel this pom-pom therapy into something more constructive, I'm holding a "Pom-Pom Making Day" at home to raise money for this extremely worthwhile charity. It will be an open-door event for family, friends and friends of friends to come and make as many colourful creations as we possibly can.

All lovingly made pom-poms will be donated to local hospices and used to raise awareness.
