Hi everyone,

Abi and I foolishly decided to sign up to a half marathon. But I thought, having managed one two years ago, I should still be able to get through one, being only two years older!

I am running for a charity called Pratham, which I chose because I have seen firsthand the kind of poverty which affects the children (and adults) in India. I also saw what a difference it made if they had the necessary reading and writing skills.

The Charity provides primary education to Indian children aged between 6 and 14, including basic maths, writing and reading.

It is run by both teachers in India and volunteers in the UK.

I greatly appreciate any contribution, not matter how small!

The run takes place on October 5th and starts in Greenwich. Not long to go!!
