As you may know, my daughter Eve has Cystic Fibrosis, the UK's most common life-threatening genetic disease.
I've done little fund-raising for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust and thought that this offered an opportunity to raise some money towards the great work that they do.
Details of the event can be found on this page
here, but to summarise, I'll give you an overview of the event.
On Friday September 10th I will travel up to Glasgow and be airlifted into Glen Nevis whereupon I will avail myself of the local hospitality. The next day I, along with many others will start a trek up to the top of Ben Nevis, Britain's highest mountain. The trek takes 5 hours and I hope to chug my way up there aided by snacks and a steady supply from my hip flask. I will be providing all my own booze and I give you my word that none of your sponsorship money will go towards my weekend slush fund.
The walk down takes about 2-3 hours by which time I will be several kilos lighter, having eaten all of the food stashed in my day sack.
I don't often come round begging for sponsorship so please think about an overweight man struggling his way to the top of Ben Nevis.
If this is not motivation enough, think about the children with CF and give generously.
Thanks for taking the time to read my page, I appreciate your assistance in helping me reach my target.
Keith
