Story
Hi there
Thank you for visiting my fundraising page.
On the afternoon of Wednesday 3 October 2007 I took the plunge and swam the 7 miles between the island of Rathlin, and the seaside town of Ballycastle in Northern Ireland for Concern Worldwide.
The water temperature was just 11 degrees and it was completed without a wetsuit (the first crazy in nearly 30 years) - I battled tides and cold with copious jellyfish, hungry sea lice and the odd inquisitive basking shark for company.
All monies raised will be going directly to people in Bangladesh to help them adapt their lives to a changing climate as a result of global warming, so please dig deep and sponsor me online.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Concern Worldwide, will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor me and big thanks for helping those who are already suffering greatly from global warming.
