Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
After last year's hectic schedule of Marathons and Triathlons (raising over £1,000 for Cancer Research) I decided to take it easy this year and do a single event: The Rapperswil-Jona Ironman in Zurich on 1 June. Alternatively known as the 70.3, as this is the number of miles I'll be doing! This little Sunday outing comprises:
1.2 mile open water swim, followed by a 56 mile leisurely bike ride and topped off with 13.1 miles of a half marathon. As such there should be plenty of sights for me to see in Zurich as I drag myself around. The thought that friends, family and colleagues have sponsored me and are expecting a finish will be so motivational, so (unashamedly) I ask you to be generous in your donation so that I make it all the way round, and between us we can play our part in helping to find a cure for this terrible disease before we lose more good friends and family to it.
If you want to find out more the 70.3 website can be found at http://70.3ironman.ch/en/02_wettkampfinfo/05_streckenplaene.htm
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Cancer Research UK gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
For those of you who are still not sure about technology (you know who you are) you can still sponsor me via the traditional paper sponsor form, just let me know and I will make sure you don't miss the opportunity to sponsor me!
