Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On 5 June 2016 Keith, Alex, Sandra, Jamie, Mollie, Laura and Callum are embarking on the 3 Peaks Challenge, and we are hoping that you might sponsor us!

The 3 Peaks Challenge involves climbing the highest mountains in Scotland (Ben Nevis), England (Scafell Pike), and Wales (Mount Snowdon), all in 24 hours!

The plan is start at the foot of Ben Nevis at 5pm on Saturday 4 June, and to finish our descent of Mount Snowdon by 5pm on Sunday 5 June.

So how big are the mountains? Ben Nevis is the tallest at 1,345m, followed by Snowdon at 1,085m, and finally Scafell Pike at 978m.

And it’s not just about the walking/climbing, there’s also 462 miles of driving to cover between the peaks! Mollie’s Dad Mike has kindly volunteered to drive the minibus so that we can all grab some much needed rest between each mountain.

We’re taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge to support a very worthy cause. The SANDS charity supports bereaved parents and their families, following the death of a baby. SANDS stands for ‘Stillbirth and Neonatal Deaths’ and they work tirelessly to improve the care bereaved parents receive, and also to promote research to reduce the loss of babies’ lives. It’s a charity close to the hearts of a few members of our team, who have seen close family members affected.

Thanks in advance for your support & we’ll let you know how we get on in a future Bulletin. Wish us luck!
