Story
Well at least I didn't leave it another two years before I dug out my pumps and hit the road again....
Next month I'll be running in the Whissendine 6ix road race. As the name suggests, it's a six mile run and Whissendine is a village in the heart of Rutland.
The event's main sponsor is he Grainstore Brewery, so it's a cold bottle of beer as you cross the line, none of that isotonic rubbish!
On a serious note, I am running to raise funds for LUPUS UK - I am sure some will not be familiar with their work so please do take a look through their website (link on the other side of this page, lupusuk.org.uk). They are the only national registered charity doing fantastic work to support people with systemic lupus and discoid lupus and assisting those approaching diagnosis.
Many thanks for your support and please dig deep!
David
PS - for those not sure about donating via justgiving, here's a bit of blurb;
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
