Story

I come from a world where the word RUNNING is only associated with the bath tub so for me to complete the London Marathon is scary business.....but hey its the LONDON MARATHON baby!

On the 17th April 2011 I must wake up with the courage and determination to complete the 26.2 mile route. I have many reasons for taking on this challenge. On a personal level I want to discover more about my determination and what it can achieve. However my real passion for this challenge was given to me by a special wee boy who in his tiny life taught me in his own way to follow dreams and never give up the fight but more importantly never to lose the smile! That passion drives me everyday of my life and I am sure it will get me through this exciting challenge!

So my aim is to run, walk or crawl to that finish line in memory of every child that has faced a situation that they did not deserve and to say thank you to all the medical professionals who fight everyday to make the world a better place.  I will cross the finish line and at the point my smile appears I will know its the end and it was all worth it!

If you would like to support me I would like you to send me your words of encouragement for the big day.  If you also want to show your support for the Charity that supported my family please make a donation.  Despite all their successes, Yorkhill Childrens Foundation still have huge challenges to meet every year. There are many wards, departments and professionals throughout the hospital who depend on our support. Lack of funds within the NHS is well documented and sadly, sick children rely on our help
