Update 15th April
I completed the London Marathon on Sunday in 3 hours 59 minutes. Just slipping ahead of Ronan Keating!
I have rather sore legs, cant quite walk properly yet and have a few tasty blisters on the old feet, but have been wearing my medal, a lot.

---------------------
Yes I am running my first ever Marathon (London - 13th April 2008). Starting the gruelling training process post-Christmas in the cold and wet made me realise quite how mad I must be to do this. Too late now...
I shall be dragging myself around 26.2 miles of our wonderful capital for The British Red Cross. They do a fantastic job all around the globe, responding to diasters and conflicts; helping strengthen support, aid and healthcare in affected countries as well as helping prepare people in the event of a disaster. The Red Cross also work extensively providing aid and essential services to those in need in the UK.
In aid of my chosen charity not only will I be running a long long way I shall also be abstaining from the alcoholic tipples and probably a fair touch of socialising for a substantial amount of time (a sponsorable feat in itself perhaps) so anything you can donate would be much appreciated.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Red Cross will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
Furthermore, every penny you donate will be matched by my employer, Macquarie.
Please sponsor me now!
Many thanks for your support.
