On 6 July I am going to run the British 10K London Run, and I am going to try my darndest to raise £1000 for Scope doing it!

Scope is a national charity supporting people with cerebral palsy. Cerebral palsy is the most commonly diagnosed physical condition in the UK, and occurs around the time of birth when part of the brain fails to develop properly.

By giving some money - even just a little bit, you can help to make the life of someone with cerebral palsy a little bit easier:
• £4.50 will buy an adapted can opener to make it easier to prepare meals independently
• £60 will buy a single chin switch so that a person with little or no hand control can operate equipment such as an electric wheelchair or computer
• £199 buys a head-operated mouse, to allow access to a computer
• £3,000 could buy a specialist bed, allowing carers to assist a person in and out of bed, and for the person to be more independent.
