We provide end of life care and support to patients and families in Wakefield

Story

With some lovely lycra and a lovely cycle buddy Rob is soon to embark on an iconic bike ride...

Lands end to John o'Groats... In 9days!!!

Around 100miles ish per day !! ouch ! - (from Friday 28th May untill Saturday the 5th June!)

Raising money for Wakefield Hospice which 'provides symptom management and care for people who have advanced active, progressive and life threatening illness', or in layman's terms; which provides an excellent, free of charge care facility for terminal patients.

The hospice relies upon donations from the public for a large proportion of its funding. It is a constant challenge for the hospice to source the finance to maintain a high level of care for their patients.

Orrrrr, if you'd prefer, you can donate to the Samaritans (via my lovely cycle buddy) at

Samaritans provides confidential non-judgemental emotional support, 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which could lead to suicide.
