Dear friends,

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. As most of you know, I am planning to spend two months in Rio de Janeiro volunteering for Task Brasil in aide of supporting children and pregnant girls who may have had no other alternative but to face a life on the streets.

As you can imagine these kids have not had the most fortunate start in life. At a tender age many of them have had to face terrifying realities such as domestic violence, being orphaned, abandoned or simply belonging to dysfunctional families. Unfortunately, we cannot change their pasts but hopefully with your sponsorhip and the professional care provided by staff and other volunteers of Task Brasil we may be able to help the children and their families shape a more positive future. 

For most, they believe that there is no way back and a life on their streets appears to be their only option. We however know different, with your sponsorship and support you can help us change that perception and make a difference to their lives!!!
