Story
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page.
We are the Linder Myers Pink Peppers - a group of women with one thing in common - our divorce lawyer!
She first got a few of us together for a charity ball two years ago. Since then we have enjoyed many other events, our numbers have grown, friendships have been formed and we have had a lot of good times along the way.
At the beginning of this year we decided to commit to our New Year's resolutions by registering to take part in the BUPA Great Manchester Run 2008 for a charity of our choice. None of us had undertaken an event of this nature before. Indeed, most of us had never previously done any exercise. Sunday morning training sessions with our trainer Eric at Chorlton Water Park (hangovers permitting!) were part of our race preparations.
You can enjoy our race day stories and the photos taken at our post race party by clicking on www.neilsonreeves.com/blog A big thank you to Colin Boulter, our official course photographer, who kindly spent the day with us and prepared this blog on our behalf.
Also a big thank you to our fellow runners and all the spectators out on the course who contributed a total of £360.00 to our charity...........
..........and Fiona Dixon of Relaxing Possibilities - a big thank you to you for the post -race massages and the £150.00 you raised for our charity.
The Children's Adventure Farm Trust is our chosen charity - see www.childrensadventurefarm.org.uk . Despite running costs in excess of £700,000.00 per annum it receives no statutory funding and relies totally on donations.
So please dig deep and sponsor us online. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Children's Adventure Farm Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
So please sponsor us now!..... and please don't forget to identify the Pepper who directed you to this page.
