As most will know, Nick and Gregor have a healthy obsession with running. They mostly enjoy trail running and love to run long distances in the beautiful countryside. They have both ran marathons and Ultra marathons in the past. Gregor is no stranger to raising money for charity through his incredible endurance running and only last year (2021) he ran for 24hours covering 80 miles and raising over £7000! Both Nick and Gregor frequently train together and take part in many races across the south of England. They are always pushing themselves to bigger and better things. Now it’s time for the next challenge..

In 2024, they will take part in running the London Marathon. For those who do not know, this is 26.2 miles around the picturesque streets of London, finishing at Buckingham Palace. A marathon distance is no easy task and will certainly be challenging. However, considering Nick and Gregor have ran a fair few marathons between them, they decided to take it a bit further. Once completing the London Marathon, they will then run home back to Overton! This will take them onto the a journey from central London to the outskirts of the M25 through to the rolling Surrey Hills and back into Basingstoke and onto Overton. This is will be a monster of a challenge and will take careful planning to arrange routes, aid stations and help along the way. After completing the 26.2 miles of the London marathon, they will then start on the epic 60 mile journey back home to Overton. This will present many challenges including running through the night.

This is a journey they believe is worthy of raising some money for a great cause. Nick and Gregor will be running this for Dreams Come True. Some details on them below and they both feel this is a great charity which will touch many peoples hearts.

Despite the event not taking place until 2024, the training starts now with many races and events arranged along the way which will be shared as and when they happen.

We are very aware that times are financially tough for most people at the moment but if you could spare a couple of pounds to donate to this incredible effort, it will be greatly appreciated. Please also get in contact with Nick and Gregor if you would like to run/walk/cycle any of the journey home with them.
