Story

Hi, my name is George & I am 13 years old. My friend Vere and I are trying to raise money for the Hampshire Air Ambulance by doing a triathlon involving; a 8km swim (done in 5 1/2 hours(including the odd break) the hardest part of the triathlon), 16km walk(done (ended up by being 18km!)), and 16km cycle (done). Nine months ago I had a severe accident in which I fractured my skull in two places: I suffered a blood clot to the brain, a broken arm, a bruised kidney, and contracted pneumonia with it. When the accident happened I was semi unconscious and a Hampshire Air Ambulance volunteer (an army medic on his day off!) saved my life. I have been very lucky as because I was treated so quickly I have made a good recovery. We want to give something back, so we would be grateful for any donations.

The Hampshire & Isle of Wight Air Ambulance receives no funding from central government or the national lottery. It relies solely on voluntary donations. It currently costs the charity £92,000 each month to keep the Air Ambulance flying and couldn't do it without the support of the people of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Many thanks for your support

Vere & George
